The following was sent in by Bob Oliver our Membership secretary.
I have received a very long and most interesting history of the service life and
beyond from one of our paid up members Mr F.J Blake, number 259 at 5 Suffolk
Street, Hove, East Sussex.
This is most fascinating reading, and is available to all who are interested in it.
I have sent it to Cliff our archivist and have told Mr Blake accordingly.
All you need is plenty of time to read it, it runs to some 12 pages A4 size.

The Commemorative Plaque after unveiling.
At the Reunion in April 2004 the Commemorative Plaque was unveiled by the Deputy Mayor, councillor Hilary Jones, after the Rev John Bates, from the Westbourne Road Methodist Church, had blessed it.

In the April issue of Update, it was reported that the Commemorative Plaque had been Damaged possibly by a vehicle carrying out a manouver. The photos below shows how it was before and after the damage.
After being demolished, some time later it was decided to put a larger Commemorative Stone in it's place.
